Ladies 2s won 9-0 at Smallbrook on a lovely day. The Island started the game out strong, pressuring the opposition relentlessly which lead to a quick first goal. Spirits were high as Bournemouth tried to push the play out of their half, but brilliant attacking play between Aly Townend, Gracie Boyd, Megan Bridger, Lotty Green and Alice Aldridge Snell gave them no chance. Any loose balls the opposition managed to run past were cleared away by Jarrison, Lucy Townend, Lola Marfleet, Sophie Bray and Jet in defence. The goals starting piling up, despite very audible protests about our tackles and play! By the end of the game, we had goals from Wightlink Player of the Match Aly Townend (3), Megan Bridger (2), Lotty Green (2),Gracie Boyd (1), and Alice Aldridge-Snell (1). All in all a cracking game!
